These became the three pillars of the House of Martell and remain intrinsic to the Martell vision today. Since 1715, Martell has produced, exported and marketed cognacs which are recognized worldwide for their outstanding quality and finesse, obtained through double distillation of exclusively clear wines and aging in fine-grainedoak barrels.

MARTELL Noblige Limited Edition By Angle Chen With Miniature. A superbly stylish cognac whose name refers to the old French saying, ‘Noblesse Oblige’. Martell Noblige is intended for those who prize the natural dignity of a great cognac. The bottle’s contemporary design carries strong cues of elegance and sophistication. A masculine and elegant cognac, expressive of the fruit’s smooth and generous sensuality balanced with complex wood notes.
The bottle is a redesign of the iconic Martell V.S.O.P. with a glow in the dark effect that alternates between light and dark depending on the surroundings.
Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels further explores the ageing dimension of Martell’s savoir-faire. Like all Martell cognacs, it is matured exclusively in casks of fine-grained oak, which respect the delicacy of Martell’s clear wines.
Uniquely, however, for Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels, the Cellar Master selected oak casks already used to age eaux-de-vie, where the influence of tannins is even less pronounced. Known as fûts roux owing to the reddish tinge of their wood, these barrels have reached the perfect stage of maturation for both the oak and the eaux-de-vie, thus allowing for an ideally balanced exchange between the two. Not only are the eaux-de-vie able to fully express their natural fruit aromas, but these blend with subtle woody overtones from the red barrels, resulting in a refined cognac that is an authentic expression of the Martell style.

Known for their elegance and sophistication, Martell cognacs are produced with the use of fine grained oak barrels and double distillation of clear wines without sediments that have become the signature of Martell’s fine taste.
When a barrel is called “Red”, a reference to the reddish color of aged wood, it has aged before other eaux-de-vie during at least 2 years up to 8 years, reaching the perfect stage of maturation for both the wood and the spirit.
For Martell VSOP aged in Red Barrels, our cellar master selected only these very rare “red fine grained oak barrels” to age this cognac, highlighting Martell specific ageing style.
